More Than We Ask
Acts 3:1-4:4 - More That We Ask - From our Series - "Acts: The Story Continues"
More Than We Ask | Acts 3
In Acts 3, Peter and John encounter a man who had spent more than forty years sitting at the temple gate - broken, dependent, and asking only for enough to survive.
His whole life had taught him to expect very little.
But what he asked for… and what Jesus intended to do… were two very different things.
In this message from our series,“Acts: The Story Continues,”we explore one of the most powerful miracles in the book of Acts and the deeper truth behind it: that God is often doing far more than we can see or imagine.
This wasn’t just a healing story.
It was a story about redemption.
A story about suffering, hope, identity, and the eternal purposes of God.
Because sometimes the very thing we are asking God to remove…
is the thing He intends to redeem.
Not just for us… but through us.
As the healed man walks through the temple gates for the first time in his life, the crowd gathers in wonder - and Peter points them beyond the miracle itself to the risen Christ, the “Author of Life.”
The same Jesus who healed this man is still at work today.
And He still redeems broken lives for His glory and our good.
