When Jesus ascended into heaven, it wasn’t just a departure…

It was a coronation.

In Acts 1:9-11, the disciples watch as Jesus is lifted up and taken into the clouds. But this moment is more than a visual miracle... it is the fulfillment of a much deeper promise found in Daniel 7.

In Daniel’s vision, one “like a Son of Man” comes with the clouds of heaven and is presented before the Ancient of Days, receiving dominion, glory, and an everlasting kingdom. What the disciples witnessed in Acts 1 is the realization of that very vision... Jesus ascending to the Father and taking His rightful place as King.

In this Bible study, we explore how the ascension reveals the authority of Christ, the fulfillment of prophecy, and the beginning of His reign through His Church.

Because Jesus is not absent… He is enthroned.

And from that throne, He continues His work by His Spirit, through His people, to the ends of the earth.
